Hello,
My name is Nate Garcia, and I am a Graphic Designer from Illinois. I am currently a student at Illinois State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Sports have always been a part of my life, as a fan or participant; the level of commitment and work that goes into each game is always so interesting to me. Freshman year, I injured myself playing football, and that forced me to find another way to support the team. I did that through sports design.
I created my high school football team's account and began posting designs, leading to 700 followers in less than two years. Since then, I've been in love with sports design, and it drew me to apply for my current internship.
I currently work for Illinois State Athletics and the Schaumburg Boomers, creating designs for their socials, videoboards, print, etc.
As I enter my fourth and final year in college, I look forward to learning every aspect of design and improving my current skills.
